Let's Start Talking in Ghent

- Speaking English In Ghent -
For the past three years we have enjoyed the help from teams coming from the states to come and teach English using the book of Luke in Ghent. It is a fun time to meet new people, play games during parties, and to start new friendships. This year our workers are Kaylee and Mica from Texas. This is the first time they have done this program, but they are not afraid to try anything. We are proud of their work and are always excited what new stories they come home with of their adventures with readers and around town.

- Kaylee and Mica -
The program invites people from Ghent to come and practice their English with native speakers. We advertised in 3 newspapers, on-line through 4 websites and by stuffing mailboxes. The workers have one on one sessions from Sunday to Thursday and then host a party on Thursday nights that we can come and enjoy as well. Gideon enjoyed pin the tail on the donkey last week at the Fiesta themed party.

- Practicing English At The Parties -
The program has been going on for several weeks now and the workers read with 16 regular readers. The girls are an encouragement to the church here as well as they attend service, and add some great singing voices to our worship. We thank God for their efforts here, for being open to new things, and for their encouragement. Thank God for opportunities like these!
